My faith is the foundation of who I am, and I believe wholeheartedly that when God gives you a vision, He will also give you the strength, wisdom, and courage to see it through."
A proud Alabama native — born and raised in Prattville, Alabama, and a 2005 graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jerrod, and together we have two sons, JaMychel and Jayden. Family, faith, and serving others have always been at the heart of who I am.
The Journey
A Hobby Born in a Season of Stillness
What started as a simple hobby during COVID in 2020 quickly became something much bigger. I began cooking simply because I enjoyed it, never imagining that my passion in the kitchen would become a career. That hobby soon turned into a private chef business, and before long, I transitioned into full scale catering in 2021.

Building Something Real
Over the years, I have had the privilege of catering for countless families, businesses, celebrations, and special occasions, including more than 100 weddings. I have also had the honor of providing private catering for former NFL player O.J. Howard, JaMychal Green of the Golden State Warriors, and other professional athletes, as well as catering 800 plus for the Alabama Farmers Association! Along the way, I have had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible people and create unforgettable experiences through food.

Making History
In 2022, I took another leap of faith and opened my first restaurant in Prattville, Alabama, making history as the first Black woman to open a restaurant in the city. It was a tremendous accomplishment and a season filled with growth, lessons, challenges, and success. That experience taught me so much about business, leadership, resilience, and most importantly, myself.

A Reset, Not an Ending
In June 2024, after years of pouring into my business and serving others, I knew I needed to take a much needed step back. What I thought was an ending was really a reset. During that time, God began giving me a new vision, a bigger vision, and a clearer understanding of what was next.

Now, in 2026, I am stepping back into the restaurant world with a renewed purpose through Soul Revival. A bigger space, a new location, a fresh vision, and the same passion for bringing people together around good food and great experiences.

Deep Roots
My roots run deep in faith. I am a preacher's daughter, raised by praying parents. My mother is a retired school teacher, and my father is a retired pastor who also spent many years in the concrete business. I was raised to work hard, serve others, trust God, and never forget where I came from.
Soul Revival is more than a restaurant to me. It represents restoration, second chances, purpose, and the beauty of trusting God even when you cannot see the entire path ahead.
